Jeff Lamoureux is Fifty-four years old and of Metis decent. He currently resides in West St. Paul, Manitoba, Canada.

Art has long been a part of life for Jeff. Artistic abilities have always come naturally. However, through the years he has had many teachers, and has had the pleasure of learning from each and every one of them. Jeff is passionate about both producing and admiring all forms of art. He has made spiritual pieces for different aboriginal people over the years. With mediums ranging from wood to rams horn, his spiritual pieces have always exceeded expectations.  Although Jeff’s most desirable medium is stone, many of his earlier pieces were created in wood. Jeff has also been considered a “Spirit Carver” by some. A spirit carver is an artist who rather than create a piece from a random idea, actually sees and carves what is coming from the medium, meaning that the sculpture is not a contrivance but rather the spirit coming through the medium. At times what he finishes with is far from where he started, as if the piece has taken on a life of its own and he is only the vehicle of its arrival. To Jeff, seeing people enjoy and want to own his work is the greatest compliment of all.

“The path has been long, the reward has been great, and the experience has been priceless.”

Thank-You
